Yoplait Canada has issued a nationwide recall of its 200 mL YOP drinkable yogurts due to a potential defect in packaging that could allow pieces of plastic to enter the product. The company confirmed the precautionary measure through its website, emphasizing that consumer safety is its top priority.
Products Affected
The recall includes all flavours of Yoplait YOP 200 mL drinkable yogurt, such as blueberry, strawberry, vanilla, birthday cake, strawberry-banana, mermaid blackberry starfruit, tropical, and lactose-free varieties. Multi-pack versions, including 6, 12, and 15-pack bottles, are also affected.
The affected products are those with best-before dates ranging from October 21, 2025, to January 12, 2026. Some multi-pack products may have codes up to “03JAN6AY.”
Safety Actions and Investigation
No injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled yogurts. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is leading the recall and investigating to ensure the products are removed from stores. Consumers are advised to check their refrigerators, avoid consuming or serving affected items, and either return them to the store or dispose of them safely.
Yoplait Canada said it is working closely with retailers and the CFIA to prevent consumption of the affected products.
