Veteran Guard Signs In
Free agent guard Malcolm Brogdon has agreed to a one-year deal with the New York Knicks, his agent Sam Permut confirmed Friday.
He joins Landry Shamet, who also signed a one-year contract, as the team rounds out its roster under new coach Mike Brown.
Brogdon’s Recent Form
Last season with the Washington Wizards, Brogdon averaged 12.7 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in 24 games.
His 3-point shooting dipped to 29%, but from 2022–23 to 2023–24, he shot 43% from deep, ranking fourth among players with at least 300 attempts.
Career Highlights
Brogdon is one of only two players in NBA history to win both Rookie of the Year (2016-17) and Sixth Man of the Year (2022-23).
