Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on September 10 during a speaking event at Utah Valley University in Orem. Erika Kirk’s emotional address
In a moving livestream from Turning Point USA’s Arizona headquarters, Kirk’s widow, Erika, paid tribute to her husband’s life and mission. Standing beside his empty podcast chair, she whispered a prayer before addressing supporters.
“My husband’s voice will remain,” she said tearfully, thanking first responders, her husband’s staff, the White House, and President Donald Trump, whom she noted her husband deeply admired. She also expressed gratitude to Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha for accompanying the casket back to Arizona.
“But most of all, Charlie loved his children. And he loved me. With all his heart. And he made sure I knew that every day,” she added.
Erika later shared photos and videos on social media, including a moment where she kissed her husband’s hand as he lay in his casket.
Charlie Kirk’s influence
Kirk rose to prominence by energizing young conservatives and was widely seen as a key figure in returning President Trump to the White House for a second term. He was a vocal supporter of gun rights, an opponent of abortion, and critical of transgender rights, positions that drew both passionate support and fierce opposition.

Despite the shock of his death, Erika Kirk told supporters that her husband’s legacy will not end: “Charlie’s mission continues. His voice will remain.”
