American actor and rapper Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, told fans at Camp Flog Gnaw that he suffered a stroke last year — a health scare that forced him to cancel his world tour.

During his performance at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles on Saturday night, Glover opened up about the frightening moment he realized something was wrong during a show in Louisiana.
“I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana and I did the show anyway,” he told fans. “I couldn’t really see well… when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital and the doctor was like, ‘You had a stroke.’”
The crowd fell silent as Glover sat on the edge of the stage, slow music playing behind him. Videos of the moment quickly spread across social media.
Why His 2024 Tour Was Suddenly Cancelled
Glover’s New World Tour began in August 2024 but was postponed within a month. At the time, he told fans he needed to focus on his “physical health.” A few weeks later, he cancelled the entire tour, citing medical tests, surgery, and time needed to heal.
