The so-called “Most Magical Place on Earth” has reportedly seen its third death in just over a week, according to multiple U.S. outlets including TMZ and the New York Post.
A man allegedly died on Thursday at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, located near the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to TMZ that an investigation is ongoing but did not release the cause of death.
In a viral TikTok video filmed from a guest’s window, a heavy police presence and crime scene tape can be seen near Bay Lake Tower’s pool area. One user wrote, “We were told it was a medical emergency. Prayers to the family and those involved.”
This would mark the third reported death at Walt Disney World property in just 10 days. Earlier this week, a man in his 60s collapsed at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and later died from a suspected medical episode.
On October 14, a 31-year-old woman identified as Disney superfan Summer Equitz reportedly took her own life at the same Contemporary Resort, jumping from the building’s upper floors in full view of shocked guests.
While Disney has not yet issued a public statement, online discussions have reignited around the Contemporary Resort’s troubling history of tragic incidents. Some guests described being told not to look out their balconies as cast members shielded views of the courtyard.
The Contemporary Resort — one of Disney’s original and most iconic hotels — has previously been linked to several similar tragedies over the years.
Authorities say no foul play is suspected in any of the recent incidents.
