DOJO – Rising Latin music star Maria De La Rosa, known professionally as DELAROSA, was fatally shot in an ambush-style attack in Los Angeles over the weekend. She was just 22 years old.
The singer was seated in a parked car in the Northridge neighborhood around 1:25 a.m. on Nov. 22 when two gunmen approached and opened fire, hitting three people in the vehicle. Two men who were in the car with her remain in critical condition.
Ambush-Style Shooting
According to the LAPD, witnesses saw the two male suspects run up to the parked vehicle and fire multiple rounds. DELAROSA was rushed to Northridge Hospital Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police are investigating the motive, and the identities of the suspects have not been released.

DELAROSA had recently begun making waves in the Latin music scene, releasing her track “No Me Llames” this past August. Her career was just taking off, and fans are mourning the loss of a young artist with a promising future.
