Chaos Erupts on Campus

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck during a live speaking event at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday afternoon. The shocking moment, caught on video, shows Kirk collapsing as audience members scream and scatter in panic.

Officials confirmed an active shooter situation after frantic scanner calls reported:

“UVU reported one individual that was shot. Unknown where the shooter went.”

Police quickly secured the area, but as of Wednesday evening, the gunman remained at large.


Eyewitness: “Blood Pouring From His Neck”

Witnesses described sheer horror as Kirk was struck mid-sentence.

“He was in the middle of talking… then a pop, and his head snapped back. There was blood pouring from his neck,” one student told local media.

Videos circulating online show spectators diving for cover, while security rushed Kirk out of the tented stage area.


Kirk in Critical Condition

Turning Point USA, the organization Kirk co-founded, confirmed the shooting:

“We are confirming that Charlie Kirk was shot and we are praying for him,” said Aubrey Laitsch, the group’s public relations manager.

According to multiple reports, Kirk was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.


National Reactions Flood In

The shooting triggered an immediate outpouring of reactions across the political spectrum.

Former President Donald Trump, a close ally of Kirk, posted on Truth Social:

“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!”

Vice President J.D. Vance, former VP Kamala Harris, and California Governor Gavin Newsom all condemned the violence and called for unity.


Rising Tide of Political Violence

The attack on Kirk comes amid growing concerns about political violence in America. In recent years, heated campus debates and ideological clashes have increasingly drawn threats and disruptions.

Kirk, 31, is known for his controversial speeches, college tours, and outspoken positions on critical race theory and conservative education alternatives.
