Cardi B has confirmed she’s expecting baby No. 4 — her first child with boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs. The 32-year-old rapper shared the news in a pre-recorded interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, ahead of the release of her highly anticipated second album Am I The Drama?
Why did she keep it private?
The Up artist explained that she wanted to reveal the pregnancy on her own terms.
“I just was like, ‘Can I just say it on my own time?’ I’m not hiding,” Cardi told King. “On my time, on my own terms. Let me close some deals first.”
She added that she also wanted to make sure her baby was healthy before sharing the news publicly.
“You don’t really want to say right away that you’re pregnant. It’s like, ‘Let me see a couple more sonograms. Let my baby be healthy.’”
When is the baby due?
Cardi revealed her new bundle of joy is due in February — just before her Little Miss Drama Tour kicks off.
Her family and relationship now
The rapper already shares three children — daughters Kulture and Blossom, and son Wave — with her estranged husband Offset. She said she feels “excited” and “in a good space” as she prepares to welcome her fourth child, describing her relationship with Diggs as “very supportive.”
“I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” Cardi said.
