“Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.”
The company’s Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy has been appointed interim CEO.

According to Astronomer, Byron had been placed on administrative leave on Friday, prompting a formal internal investigation. Within 24 hours, he stepped down.
The company reiterated its commitment to workplace integrity in a follow-up:
