DOJO News Network (“DOJO”) respects the intellectual property rights of copyright owners, creators, photographers, leagues, teams, athletes, media organizations and other rights holders.
As an independent sports media and digital publishing platform, DOJO may publish or reference photographs, videos, social media posts, quotes and other third-party materials in connection with sports reporting, commentary, criticism, analysis and public-interest journalism.
If you believe copyrighted material available on DOJO infringes your rights, you may submit a copyright takedown request. We take legitimate copyright concerns seriously and will review valid notices promptly.
How to Submit a Copyright or DMCA Takedown Notice
Send written copyright notices to:
Your notice should include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, along with information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it, such as the exact DOJO URL.
- Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or applicable law.
- A statement that the information provided in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
How Does DOJO Respond to Copyright Notices?
After receiving a sufficiently complete and valid notice, DOJO may:
- review the identified material and circumstances of its use
- remove or disable access to material where appropriate
- correct or update attribution where appropriate
- contact the person or contributor responsible for the material
- request additional information where necessary
- provide information regarding a counter-notification when applicable
Submission of a takedown notice does not automatically establish that infringement has occurred. DOJO may consider applicable copyright exceptions, licenses, permissions, fair use, fair dealing and other relevant legal principles when reviewing a request.
Counter-Notification Procedure
If content you submitted to DOJO has been removed or disabled as a result of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification.
A counter-notification should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
- Any additional statements required under applicable copyright law for a valid counter-notification.
Send counter-notifications to:
